一、申请概况

可以在英国待多久
持有二级(一般)签证，你在英国最多可以待5年零14天;或赞助证明给定的时间外加1个月哪一个时间短就是哪一个。
你在英国居留的起始时间不能早于赞助证明上的起始时间的14天。
只要你的居留时间总共不超过6年，你就可以申请另外延长5年。
你可以或不可以做什么
你可以：
1.在赞助机构(单位、公司)从事赞助证明上写明的工作;
2.可以在同一行业做同等水平的第二份工作作为你的主业，工作时间每周不能超过20个小时;
3.从事紧缺职业，工作时间每周不能超过20个小时;
4.做志愿者工作;
5.在不妨碍赞助工作的前提下学习;
6.可以往返于英国和其它国家;
7.可以携带家人;
你不可以：
1.收入不能超过赞助者收入的10%，除非你年薪在155300英镑以上;
2.得到公共基金;
3.在拿到签证之前工作;
4.在为赞助者工作之前申请第二份工作。
如果你想做第二份工作作为主业，而第二份工作和第一份工作不在同一部门，这种情况下你需要重新申请。
二、申请资格
申请二级(一般)签证，你必须：
1.有赞助证明识别码;
2.有合适的工资;
3.达到要求的英语水平;
4.遵循其他条例(如果你是从四级一般签证转入本签证);
5.有945英镑的存款证明，除非属于你例外，不需要提供证明。
赞助证明
赞助证明指的是记录有你工作信息和个人详细信息的识别码。赞助证明不是具体的证书和纸质文件。
赞助证明由你的赞助者提供。
他们也会给你其他信息，一帮助你申请签证，比如你在英国的工资待遇。
申请时你需要将识别码添加到申请表上识别码只能用一次。

合适工资

How much you pay for a Tier 2 (General) visa depends on your situation, where you are and how you apply.

How long you can stay
You can come to the UK with a Tier 2 (General) visa for a maximum of 5 years and 14 days, or the time given on your certificate of sponsorship plus 1 month, whichever is shorter.
Your stay must start no more than 14 days before the start date on yourcertificate of sponsorship.
You can apply to extend this visa for up to another 5 years, as long as your total stay is not more than 6 years.
What you can and cant do
You can:

A certificate of sponsorship is a reference number which holds information about the job and your personal details. Its not an actual certificate or paper document.
Your sponsor will give you your certificate of sponsorship reference number.
They must also give you some other information to help you to apply, for example how much youll be paid.
Youll need to add your certificate of sponsorship reference number to your application form - you can only use it once.
Your certificate of sponsorship is valid for 3 months from the date its assigned to you.
Appropriate salary
Youll usually need to be paid at least 25,000 or the appropriate rate for the job youre offered - whichever is higher. Check the appropriate rate for the job youve been offered.
