三、英语知识
申请签证时，你可能需要证明你的英语语言知识。
证明可以通过以下任意方式来完成：
1.参加认可英语语言测试，读、写、听、说至少达到CEFR(欧洲共同语言能力分级架构) 的B1级;
2.持有课程以英语教授、UK NARIC(英国国家学术认证信息中心)认可为相当于英国学士学位、硕士学位、博士学位的的学术资格证。
你可能可以通过其他方式达到申请签证的英语语言要求，在某些情况下可能需要更高的英语水平。
例外
如果你是以下任意国家(地区)的公民，你不需要做英语水平测试：
安提瓜和巴布达、澳大利亚、巴哈马群岛、巴巴多斯、伯利兹、加拿大、多米尼加、格林纳达、圭亚那、牙买加、新西兰、圣基茨和尼维斯、圣卢西亚、圣文森特和格林纳丁斯、特立尼达和多巴哥、美国。
四、所需材料
申请二级一般签证的时候你需要提供：
1.当前护照或其他有效旅行证件;
2.表明你银行卡过去90天里至少一直有945英镑存款的银行申明，或者表明赞助者可以支持和供应你在英国第一个月的开销的赞助证明;
3.表明你满足英语要求的证件;
4.肺结核检查结果(如果你是来自必须做肺结核体检的国家)。
护照上需有为签证准备的空白页(双面)。原件语言不是英语和威尔士语的，你还需要提供相应的得到认证的翻译。
如果个人情况，你可能还需要提供其他证件。
五、申请流程

在英国以外的国家(地区)申请
二级一般签证需要在线申请。
你需要在签证申请中心录指纹、提交照片(以获居留许可)，作为申请的一部分。
你需要在提交预达英国时间之时起的10天内搜集好居留许可生物信息。

在朝鲜申请
如果你居住在朝鲜，不能线上申请签证。
在朝鲜申请需要：
1.下载申请表和申请指南;
2.阅读申请说明，以明确在哪里交表。
在英国申请
核实好你能否在英国申请延长现有的二级(一般)签证，或从其他签证转入本签证。

3. Knowledge of English
You may need to prove your knowledge of the English language when you apply.
You can prove your knowledge of English by either:
passing an approved English language test with at least CEFR level B1 in reading, writing, speaking and listening having an academic qualification that was taught in English and is recognised by UK NARIC as being equivalent to a UK bachelors degree, masters degree or PhD You may be able to meet the English language requirement in other ways or need a higher level of English in some circumstances. Exceptions
You wont need to prove your knowledge of English if youre a national of one of the following countries:
Antigua and Barbuda
Australia
the Bahamas
Barbados
Belize
Canada
Dominica
Grenada
Guyana
Jamaica
New Zealand
St Kitts and Nevis
St Lucia
St Vincent and the Grenadines
Trinidad and Tobago
USA
You also may not have to prove your knowledge of English in other circumstances - check the visa guidance.
4. Documents you must provide
When you apply youll need to provide:
a current passport or other valid travel identification bank statements showing youve had at least 945 in savings continuously over the last 90 days, or your sponsors certification that they can support and accommodate you for the first month youre employed proof that you meet the English requirement your tuberculosis test results if youre from a country where you have to take the test You need a page in your passport thats blank on both sides for your visa.
Youll need to provide a certified translation of any documents that arent in English or Welsh.

You may need to provide additional documents depending on your circumstances.
5. Apply
You should read the full policy guidance before you apply.
Youll have to pay the healthcare surcharge as part of your application. Check how much youll have to pay before you apply.
Apply outside the UK
You must apply online for a Tier 2 (General) visa.
Youll need to have your fingerprints and photograph taken at a visa application centre (to get a biometric residence permit) as part of your application.
Youll have to collect your biometric residence permit within 10 days of when you said youd arrive in the UK.
You may be able to get your visa faster or get other services (like translation) depending on what country youre in - check with your visa application centre.
North Korea
You cant apply online if youre living in North Korea.
To apply from North Korea you must:
