New students from outside EU/EEA are required to pay tuition fee in order to study at Aalborg University. Students from partner universities outside EU/EEA will not be charged tuition.
EU citizens are nationals from Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus (applies to the Greek-Cypriot area only), the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Holland, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom.
EEA citizens are citizens from Liechtenstein, Switzerland, Norway and Iceland.
Nationals of Switzerland are covered by the same rules as EU and EEA citizens.
The fee covers expenses related to lectures, guidance, supervision from members of the University staff and exams taken as part of the study programme. Should you receive a grade below 2 on the Danish Grading Scale, you are eligible for two re-examinations. Tuition payment is due approximately 3 months before study start for new students and 1 month before study start for each following semester.
Aalborg University makes reservations concerning any adjustments that may arise in connection with the tuition fee.
